Dispatch Fee
When you call a plumber, you are not just paying for time at your house—you are paying for the ability to respond with the right tools, the right parts, and the right experience to diagnose the issue correctly the first time. The Dispatch Fee covers the cost to schedule, route, and send a licensed professional to your location, prepared to evaluate your specific situation.
What’s included
Your dispatch fee helps cover the real costs of showing up ready, including:
Travel and mobilization to your home or business
Service vehicle readiness (stocked truck, tools, and standard jobsite equipment)
Scheduling and coordination to get you on the calendar and routed efficiently
Initial on-site evaluation setup so the visit starts with a clear plan, not guesswork
Why it exists
Plumbing service requires constant overhead to stay reliable and professional—fuel, insurance, vehicle costs, tools, licensing, and the ability to respond quickly. The dispatch fee ensures that when you call, you get a technician who arrives prepared, takes the time to properly assess the issue, and can explain your options clearly.
How it applies
The Dispatch Fee is charged per visit and covers arrival and the initial service call logistics. Any diagnosis, testing, and repair work is billed separately based on what’s needed and what you choose to do.
Standard dispatch fee
Standard Dispatch Fee: $75.00
Complete Whole-Home Plumbing Inspection
A plumbing system can look fine on the surface while small issues build up behind the scenes. This complete, non-destructive whole-home plumbing inspection is designed to confirm what’s working, identify problems early, and help you avoid surprise leaks and costly emergencies.
What’s included
During your inspection, I will:
Run and test every fixture — faucets, sinks, tubs, showers, and toilets
Check water pressure and flow to spot supply-side issues and performance problems
Evaluate drain performance for slow drains, backups, and drainage consistency
Watch for venting symptoms like gurgling, slow drainage, or trap siphoning indicators
Inspect for visible leaks and wear at supply lines, shutoff valves, traps, and exposed piping
Water-heating system check
I will also inspect your water-heating equipment, including tank, tankless, or boiler systems, for:
Visible leaks and water damage indicators
Basic safety concerns
Connection and valve condition
Venting and condensate setup (where applicable)
What you get afterward
When the inspection is complete, you’ll receive a clear, straightforward summary of:
What’s working properly
What needs attention
What can be improved
Findings are prioritized, so you know what matters most first—helping you prevent surprises, reduce emergency calls, and feel confident about your home’s plumbing.
After-Hours Dispatch Fee CALL (515)414-9394
Plumbing problems do not always wait for business hours. When you request service after normal operating hours (late evening / overnight), an After-Hours Dispatch Fee applies.
Why an after-hours fee exists
After-hours calls require a different level of readiness and cost than daytime scheduling:
On-call availability: A licensed technician must be ready to respond outside the standard workday.
Late-night response logistics: Dispatching at night often involves added coordination, routing, and safety considerations.
Immediate mobilization: Trucks, tools, and parts are staged for rapid response instead of planned appointments.
Operational overhead: Keeping after-hours coverage available means higher staffing and operating costs compared to daytime service.
What the fee covers
The After-Hours Dispatch Fee covers the cost to answer, dispatch, and send a technician to your location after hours (8pm). Once onsite, any diagnosis and repair work is billed separately based on the service needed.
Note: This fee applies to after-hours calls only (not standard daytime appointments).
Backflow Prevention Assembly Testing
Protecting your drinking water from contamination requires functioning backflow prevention devices. A Backflow Prevention Assembly Test ensures these critical assemblies perform as intended to prevent cross-connections between potable and non-potable water. Owners of these devices mainly in commercial properties or on a sprinkler system here in iowa have a responsibility to test them annually in order to protect backflow or backsiphonage into the city water supply.
What’s included
During testing, I will:
Verify the performance of a Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) Assembly—used in high-hazard situations where contaminants pose significant health risks.
Test a Double Check Valve Assembly (DCVA) for moderate hazard scenarios, ensuring pollutants—not contaminants—are kept at bay.
Inspect Pressure Vacuum Breakers (PVB) and Atmospheric Vacuum Breakers (AVB)—often used for irrigation or lower hazard applications—to ensure proper operation.
Why testing matters
Backflow assemblies are mechanical and wear out over time. Annual testing ensures these devices function and keep your water safe from contamination. Owners of a backflow assembly could also face heavy fines if not tested annually
How it applies
Each device is tested per regulatory standards. If repairs are needed, they are quoted separately from the testing fee.
Standard testing fee
A standard testing fee of $125.00 applies based on the device type and complexity.
